The 2024 Winston-Salem Open player field will now include three past champions.

Current world No. 19, Sebastian Baez from Argentina, returns to the tournament as the defending champion. He won the Winston-Salem Open in main draw debut at No. 42 in the world. Since then, he has enjoyed continued success in the PIF ATP Rankings and is seeking his third title this year, having already won early this season in Santiago, Chile and Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

“I think Sebastian made a lot of fans here in Winston-Salem last year. His energy was contagious, and he had some great three set battles that showed his grit and were entertaining to our fans. We are so excited he’s chosen to play again,” says Tournament Director Jeff Ryan.

The 2022 champion, Adrian Mannarino, will also be looking to add to his trophy case. The 36-year-old Frenchman currently sits at world No. 25 seeking his first title of 2024, after collecting three last year. This year marks his fifth appearance in Winston-Salem.

Roberto Bautista Agut hoisted the trophy in 2017 and plans his return this summer. The Spaniard has enjoyed a career-high ranking of world No. 9 and earned his 400th career win in 2024. He will be seeking his 12th ATP title.

Ryan believes it’s a testament to the community that so many players revisit the event.

“Our fans, volunteers and partners make this such a great stop for the guys on tour, especially before New York. Our folks are friendly. The area is easy to navigate. Everything is convenient. All these things make the Winston-Salem Open a true player-friendly event.”

The tournament expects to announce the full player field later this month.
