When is the best day or session to attend?
Every fan finds a different day to his or her liking. As the week progresses, the excitement builds as the field narrows and the players fight to win the coveted titles. More players are around grounds earlier in the week, and you will find permanent seating overlooking several of the practice courts to provide fans with the best views.

When do the gates and ticket box office open?

What food or beverages are permitted to be brought onto the grounds of the Wake Forest Tennis Center?
No food or beverages are allowed to be brought onto the grounds except for an unopened 20-ounce (or smaller) water bottles (one per person), provided they are clear and made of plastic. Glass bottles, cans, coolers, ice chests, thermoses and picnic baskets are not permitted.
*All bags are subject to search upon entering the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.

What is the policy on bringing bags?
There is a limit of one bag per ticket holder entering the grounds. Bags must be no larger than 12x12x16, and all bags are subject to search.

What is the policy on young children needing a ticket?
Children ages 2 and younger do not need a ticket to attend.

What concessions are available?
Concessions are available at the tournament and include a wide variety of food, drinks and alcoholic beverages.  Credit cards will be accepted at the concession stands.
*You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages on the grounds of the Winston-Salem Open.

What is not allowed at the tournament?

  • Sealed packages of any kind
  • Briefcases
  • Backpacks
  • Hard coolers or like containers
  • Glass bottles or cans of any kind
  • Aerosol cans or noisemaking devices
  • Alcohol (available for purchase on tournament grounds)
  • Umbrellas
  • Commercial photographic or video cameras or recording devices
  • Computers, tablets or laptops
  • Food (except in limited quantities for medical, dietary or infant purposes)
  • Weapons
  • Animals (service animals allowed)
  • Flags, banners or signs
  • Drones (UAS-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) or other model aircraft
  • "Selfie" sticks or other telescopic devices, including camera lenses exceeding 100 mm
  • Any materials constituting unauthorized advertising or promotion
  • Laser pointing devices
  • Tennis racquets (unless attending a clinic, then must be returned to car)
  • Bicycles or scooters of any type
  • In-line skates, roller skates, skateboards
  • Any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the management of the Winston-Salem Open, in its sole discretion.

What is the policy on betting?
At no time may any person, directly or indirectly, wager on tennis matches while at the tournament site. Allowing betting companies, directly or through a third party, to accept any tennis wagers (electronically or otherwise) at the tournament site or any tournament related event is prohibited.

Is the tournament televised?
Yes, the tournament will be televised. A full TV schedule for this year's tournament will be available as we get closer to the tournament.

Am I guaranteed to see a certain player?
No. The Winston-Salem Open is a single elimination tournament, and every player does not play every day; therefore we cannot guarantee that any particular player will play during a specific session. In addition, the players expected to play in the Winston-Salem Open may change without notice.

What is the Code of Conduct at the tournament?
Guest Code of Conduct

  • Shirts and footwear are required to be worn at all times
  • Do not wear any clothing or accessories with indecent, inappropriate, or offensive messaging or imagery
  • Refrain from the use of foul, abusive, offensive or inappropriate language or gestures, and any inappropriate behavior that creates a disruptive atmosphere for other guests
  • Do not enter upon any tennis court without authorization
  • Consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible and lawful manner
  • Do not use fan/user based video streaming apps and video recording devices to record on-court action or activities
  • Show your ticket/credential upon request and only sit in your designated seat, where applicable
  • Follow instructions from event staff regarding event operations or emergency procedures
  • Umbrellas may not be in the open position during play
  • Refrain from smoking, as this is a smoke-free environment
  • Please contact tournament officials if you witness something of concern
